Ascend 2026

Date: 10 August 2026

ASCEND 2026 for First Year MBA students took part in an activity-based session on Ethics, ESG, CSR and Sustainability, designed to move learning from concepts to real-world application conducted by Kristu Jayanti Institute of Management (KJIM) on 10.08.2026. The session unfolded across three parts, each building on the last. The first began with rapid-fire brainstorming on key ESG, CSR and Sustainability frameworks, followed by a team activity in which students sorted real business scenarios into Ethics, ESG, CSR and Triple Bottom Line categories, before working through an ethical dilemma exercise. The second part moved into evaluation, with a jigsaw activity in which teams assessed real companies against the ESG-CSR-BRSR framework and presented their findings to the class. The final part brought the learning together through the Sustainability Challenge, where student teams took on the role of sustainability consultants, diagnosing ESG issues at a manufacturing company and proposing CSR initiatives linked to the UN Sustainable Development Goals, complete with measurable KPIs. Students applied ethical reasoning and sustainability thinking to real business dilemmas, moving beyond theory into practical, responsible decision-making.
