Date: 05 to 09 August 2026
Kristu Jayanti Institute of Management (KJIM) organised an engaging Awareness Programme on Civic Sense and Responsibility, Poverty Alleviation, and Government Schemes from 05th to 09th August 2026 for MBA students, with a special focus on Sustainable Development Goal 1 (SDG 1): No Poverty. The session featured insightful contributions from Dr. Baba Gnankumar, Dr. M. K. Baby, Dr. Saket Ranjan Praveer, and Dr. Murali S., who facilitated a comprehensive discussion on poverty-related challenges in the Indian context and explored practical mechanisms for poverty alleviation, social inclusion, and effective awareness of government welfare initiatives. The programme was further enriched through student-led group activities and presentations, encouraging participants to critically examine social issues, collaborate on solutions, and translate learning into meaningful civic action. The initiative reflects KJIM’s commitment to responsible management education, social awareness, and nurturing socially conscious future leaders.
