Session briefed participants on avenues for expanding their academic responsibilities through consultancy services, industry collaborations, corporate training, advisory engagements, and externally sponsored projects through organizations such as UNDP, UNESCO, ANRF, Centres of Excellence (CoE), NGOs, and government agencies were highlighted, along with strategies for identifying consultancy prospects aligned with institutional strengths.
The session focused on building a consultancy ecosystem within higher education institutions through dedicated consultancy teams, faculty expertise databases, enhanced website and social media presence, and engagement with platforms such as NITI Aayog. Participants were introduced to concepts including ONOS-APC support, BRQ-PFMS systems, NGO funding, proposal development, and capacity-building initiatives. The importance of maintaining consultancy-ready faculty profiles and fostering industry and government collaborations was emphasized. The session provided practical insights for enhancing research impact, institutional visibility, professional growth, and societal engagement beyond traditional teaching responsibilities.
