Kristu Jayanti Institute of Management (KJIM) conducted a “Pre-Requisite Course on Managerial Economics” from 14th August, 2026 to 28th August, 2026. Faculty members Dr. Ashok Mammen, Dr. Vimaladevi M and Dr. Smitha Bhaskar took sessions for different sections. The PRC aimed to introduce economics to students from various academic backgrounds. The course was intended to provide a short, intensive programme which was designed to fill knowledge gaps and give students foundational skills before they start the core syllabus. Economics topics and concepts such as the need for Managerial economics, Consumer behaviour, Demand, Elasticity, Market Equilibrium, Production Function, Markets, Economic Environment were discussed. Activities such as group discussions, case-study analysis and activities were conducted to make the learning process interactive and engaging. These activities encouraged active participation and helped students apply the concepts in practical situations. Overall, the pre-requisite course provided a strong foundation and prepared the students for the successful study of Managerial Economics.
