Kristu Jayanti Institute of Management conducted an orientation programme on the National Eligibility Test (NET) was conducted on 13 August 2026 for the I MBA 2026-2028 Batch, Sections B to E, at Auditorium 1, Ground Floor, Airport Road Campus, Kristu Jayanti (Deemed to be University). The session was facilitated by Dr. Naveen Kumar R, Associate Professor, Kristu Jayanti Institute of Management, with the objective of creating awareness about the significance, structure and career opportunities associated with the NET examination. The session provided students with an overview of the UGC-NET examination, including its purpose, eligibility criteria, examination pattern and preparation approaches. Particular emphasis was placed on the opportunities available to NET-qualified candidates in higher education, teaching and research. The avenues associated with Assistant Professor eligibility, Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), doctoral research and academic career progression were also discussed. Dr. Naveen Kumar R highlighted the importance of NET as a valuable qualification for students aspiring to pursue academic and research-oriented careers. Students were encouraged to develop a structured preparation plan, strengthen conceptual understanding, practice regularly and improve their time-management skills. The orientation served as an informative platform for students to understand the professional and academic avenues associated with NET. The interactive session enhanced students’ awareness of the examination and motivated them to explore higher education, teaching and research as potential career pathways.
