Kristu Jayanti Institute of Management (KJIM) conducted a Pre-Requisite Course on Financial Accounting and Reporting from 14th to 20th August 2026 for MBA Batch 2026-2028 students. The programme aimed to strengthen students’ conceptual and practical foundation in accounting, particularly catering to learners from diverse academic backgrounds. The sessions covered accounting concepts, principles, terminology, branches of accounting, GAAP, IFRS, IND-AS, significant accounting policies, double-entry bookkeeping, accounting equation, journal and ledger preparation, trial balance, and final accounts. Practical exercises, problem-solving activities, case discussions, group activities and quizzes enhanced student engagement and helped participants relate accounting concepts to real-world business transactions and financial decision-making. Overall, the programme prepared students with the essential accounting knowledge required for their MBA curriculum and advanced financial reporting studies.
